18TH AUGUST DAY -1 FLIGHTS FLIGHTS

Today a member of the transplant team flies to Perth to pick up the stem cells that will be implanted tomorrow. The purpose of this is to replace Scott's immune system that has been damaged by the chemo and to provide a new set of cells to fight the leukeamia if it returns.
Another important flight is from Melbourne - my sister Diane is flying here to provide support for us all.

  1. DearJudy, Scott and family,
This is from a cousin of Scotts in Canberra. As you know by now I phoned Scott to wish him much luck and good thoughts for tomoorrows transplant.
I will be praying for your health to return Scott.
Congratulations to Ian on becoming vice captain. My mother, Noal Pollock, will be most impressed. She and dad have not been too well. They are at home having aged care in their home. Desley is the main carer.
All the best wishes for tomorrow. Glad Judy has reinforcements coming. What a woman to be caring for Scott and working.
    Bye for now. Love Lorraine.
