MR T OR IS IT IAN???

Ian was not going to be outdone by his father when he decided to do a Mr T look-a-like for the Leukamia Foundation at Woolooware High.

Scott, like Ian cannot resist the opportunity to get on the microphone!!

Be brave and Shave!!

He was going to have red and white to support the Swans - but it was Northies and we were worried people may have confused the colours with St George. Why don't these Sydney people understand real football!!

Scott did not have to be brave to shave his head - it happened at least three times last year and it was the least of his worries!!!! Dealing with the after effects of chemotheraphy, the infections, the illness, the lack of appetite, and the lethargy etc etc ...................

So taking part in the World's Greatest Shave was really an anti climax and a bit of Fun!! He insisted however that his head not be shaved completely - he was more interested in a bit of colour.

We encourage everyone to get involved and make a donation to this very worthwhile cause - their support and encouragement throught out Scott's cancer journey cannot be over stated.

FULL CIRCLE!! 9th FEBRUARY 2010

Last year, after attending the assembly where Ian was inducted as a member of the SRC, Scott went to see the doctor who diagnosed leukaemia and sent us on the long journey from St George to St Vincents and many places in between. Scott seems to be improving, although there are still plenty of complications in the background. However, he is beginning to gain some stamina and weight and is filling his days with a variety of activities, especially now Ian has a car!!

We were all thrilled to attend the Induction Assembly this year as Ian was officially given his Blazer and introduced as the Vice Captain of Woolooware High School. Scott and I were given the task of pinning on his badge!!

CARS, CARS, CARS!!

After patiently waiting until Scott could give him advice, Ian was finally able to find another 4WD to learn to drive on.

Late in February he will be able to take his driving test, after a long 120 hours of learning with a variety of teachers!!

For Jessica, last weekend was the culmination of a great deal of work and effort, but she has finally achieved her goal with the purchase of her new Mazda 2!! Congratulations!!

22ND JANUARY

We now have a NEW computer so hopefully all the problems with crashes will be over!! But knowing what computers are like, I doubt it!!

Scott is continuing to put on weight and increase his energy levels. He has attended St Vincent's four days this week but all is well and next week Ian and I return to school and the following week Jessica begins full time work at Kareena Private Hospital as a Registered Nurse!!

15TH JANUARY

This week we received some very positive news with the results of the Bone Marrow Biospy. All the blood tests and the marrow tests are positive showing everything is going to plan. Scott needs to continue to gain weight and eat more!! If only everyone else was given this medical advice!

11TH JANUARY

Scott continues to slowly improve at home. We need to encourage him to eat more. Once again the computer has crashed so I may not add a post for a few days until the new one arrives.
