For a change the needles were not going into Scott!! It was his turn to watch us getting the treatment but for a good reason. Since his first bout of chemo Scott has had about 20 transfusions of platelets, whole blood etc

A DETOUR FOR SCOTT!!

I never thought that I could ever fly anything, other than a car into something! Thanks to the incredibly generous gift from Ken and El Hutt I found something to bring back in one piece. There had to be a first time. The motive to keep going and do something completely left of field is so strong even with the "chemo brain" doing all the wishing. I will keep this up after bone marrow transplant (BMT).

JULY 29TH GREAT NEWS AFTER THE BONE MARROW BIOPSY

Today was a memorable day for Scott. After five months of hospital and 3 bouts of intensive chemotherapy the Leukaemia has gone!! For the moment at least - so it is an ideal time to go for the BMT.

A FUNERAL BUT A CELEBRATION

Despite the sadness, Uncle Bob's funeral was a celebration of his life and dedication to Aunty Janice, their 6 children and 'many' grandchildren. The uplifting singing of the Charles Wesley hymn 'And Can it Be' and the old favourite 'How Great Thou Art' was a highlight of the service along with the Tributes of the Children and Grandchildren and the beautiful Slide Show Presentation that included many members of the congregation.

This was the first time this year that Scott has worn a suit and has felt 'normal'. It was great to see Diane and Neil and for them to see the change in Scott from when they last saw him at the beginning of the journey in February.
