Today was a memorable day for Scott. After five months of hospital and 3 bouts of intensive chemotherapy the Leukaemia has gone!! For the moment at least - so it is an ideal time to go for the BMT.

A FUNERAL BUT A CELEBRATION
Despite the sadness, Uncle Bob's funeral was a celebration of his life and dedication to Aunty Janice, their 6 children and 'many' grandchildren. The uplifting singing of the Charles Wesley hymn 'And Can it Be' and the old favourite 'How Great Thou Art' was a highlight of the service along with the Tributes of the Children and Grandchildren and the beautiful Slide Show Presentation that included many members of the congregation.
This was the first time this year that Scott has worn a suit and has felt 'normal'. It was great to see Diane and Neil and for them to see the change in Scott from when they last saw him at the beginning of the journey in February.

REGAINING WEIGHT!!
REGAINING STRENGTH!
It is very important that Scott is as fit as possible to take on the BMT. Two weeks on the south coast have aided that endeavour. Fishing is one extreme sport we took on and yes it was sausages for dinner!! Thank you Elaine for the use of your wonderful holiday house at Narrewalle.
We also had a day 4wding in the hinderland behind Bateman's Bay along the Clyde River where Scott could refine his river crossing skills!!

A WEEK AT EROWAL BAY
After the turmoil of the last 5 months, it was wonderful to have a week away to relax and give Scott the opportunity to prepare for the next step in this journey. Thank you to Peter and Jill for the holiday house and to Jessica and Ian for minding our house!!
During our time here we saw whales, lighthouses and white sand and ate plenty of seafood, including the seafood platter at Huskison RSL.
5 MONTHS ON - ANOTHER WEEKEND IN BERRY!!
It is hard to believe 5 months ago on Valentine's Day we learned of Scott's illness. We spent the weekend at the Kentia St B&B and then spent the next 5 months at St George Hospital!! How wonderful it was to return last weekend and enjoy a meal with our friends at the Berry Pub, and then the boys got to play farms!!

FIRST WEEK OF JULY 2009
A return to NORMALITY! How your priorities and outlook on life can change!! The first week of July was wonderful for us - Ian was in the Gang Show and Scott was able to attend on Opening Night and the next one!! Grandma, Jessica and Jessica's friend Chris were also able to see Ian stealing the show with his over the top performance. Judy was able to play wardrobe mistress after having dinner with Scott at the Hurstville Pub!! Even though we were all very tired on Thursday it was great to be able to do something that until recently we took for granted.
This was especially true tonight as we sat down for a baked dinner - one of the first evenings we have had a family dinner this year - and yes Ian is getting his hair cut TOMORROW!!
AND WE HAVE A DATE FOR THE BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT - 20TH AUGUST.
